Brooklyn Townhouse

Primary bedroom

In a row of new townhomes, this one stands out. From the bespoke landscaping in the front and back gardens, to the organic shapes and autumnal colors selected for the interiors, each space evokes style and personality. Walking distance from coffee shops and bodegas, this place is cool.

Designing a home for a young couple, with a new baby, who love to cook and entertain means creating open environments with soft edges to gather. This “impossible bouquet”— what Lucy Harris is known for designing—comes to life in this residence. The custom, built-in dining banquette is covered in fabric by Tibor in a lush moss hue. Rugs were chosen as much for color and pattern as texture. Sofas and chairs are comfy and inviting. Sculptural objects and art with unique meanings dot shelves and walls. A rooftop skylight over the upper-level stairwell, and an expanse of sliding glass doors on the lower ones, make it feel light and airy. It all comes together in a flawless combination of modern eclecticism.
