Sneak Peek: Chelsea Apartment on the High Line

Perched above the High Line is a cozy, chic pied-à-terre that provides solace despite the bustle below. With glittering views of Hudson Yards, Lucy and the team embraced the floor-to-ceiling windows, layered color and pattern to create depth, and selected custom décor to reflect the sophisticated aesthetic of our clients. 

Designed around a request that all seating be beautiful and “nappable”—such as the 280 Sofa in Teddy mohair and custom Monarch bench—Lucy and the team arranged the open floor plan of the light-filled space into zones for entertaining and everyday living. Curved shapes and soft textures create an easy flow between the living and dining areas. Warm colors, like ochre and terracotta, set the mood. A custom desk and daybed were designed for the study ensuring that every detail of the space was given careful consideration. Botanical wallcoverings in rich colors in the bedrooms and study create a pronounced separation from the subdued and earthy tones in the common areas, lending a feel of a home-away-from-home.
